i would like the sequel if they added some modern cartoons like The Simpsons and Beavis & Butthead. I doubt they would because the original took place in the 40s

Also, that would mean even more licensing bullshit to go through. It would be funny but I don't think all those companies would want to play together.

They got Disney and Warner Brothers to work together which was absolutely unthinkable at the time. And they could to a current day version and get out of the 40's. 'Cause Toons don't age.

Ok a simple premise, albeit douchey.
Roger trips into a trunk and somehow stays there for 60 years to be freed in 2009. he seeks out Hoskin's great grandson, oddly by the same name.Why? Because the old cartoons are fading away, replaced by Asian Manga. and the murder of a key person from the oldschool LA cartoon community.

I think it was just the licensing issues and such with all the different studios involved.
