Never understood the appeal of Bamboozle, maybe it's geared more towards the new teenage breed. These don't register as "real" bands or musicians to me.

I'm going mainly to see No Doubt, and The Used, but I'd also like to see Sum 41, and 3OH!3.
I'm contemplating getting tickets for May 2nd just to see Third Eye Blind.
NO DOUBT is huge, btw.

Yeah, in 1995.
Gwen Stefani has been around this whole time. She's obviously not lost it.
The reason that they are touring together again is because they are putting out another record.

You say it like it's a bad thing.
If it were z100's Zootopia, than I think you'd have a point.

Well, No Doubt does stink like ass ... he had a point. What's to gain from another culture vulture outfit? Gwen and the gang like Ska, Reggae, and Dancehall - it does not mean they're any good and playing it.

I realize I must seem like a negative person, I'm not especially I just post a lot at work.
It's only a negative statement if you like No Doubt, if you like DHC it's a very positive statement.

i saw the (i think) first bamboozle down at the stone pony with patty smith and sonic youth as the big acts, then they took weekend in a whole other approach with emo/warped bands
so far, this summer:
tv on the radio @ summerstage 06/05
sonic youth @ united palace 07/03
wilco @ keyspan 07/13

That sounds like an actual draw, unlike it's new make and model.
I just saw Amon Amarth at Starland.
May is Mayhem at Irving (i think Irving anyway)
Early June NIN at PNC and the Doves at Terminal 5.
I can't tell if i am underwhelmed by the bands touring this summer, i was going to see Wilco at Keyspan but the tickets were too much for me & my boyfriend at the time they went on sale.

I didn't record, but I was about 15 to 20 people away from the stage. We were packed like sardines, it was a big crowd.

At one point, during 3OH3!'s performance, I got a shoe print to the middle of my chest, on my white A-shirt, from a crowd surfer, like a stamp of approval. During The Used's performance I got a shoe to the face, compliments of another crowd surfer. Also, all types of crowd surfing butts fell square on my head throughout the event, and my neck was hurting by the end of the night.
While waiting for No Doubt to appear, the hottest thing happened. A complete stranger in front of me, a cute brunette of about 5'6", in a black hoodie, and tight blue jeans, began grinding her pillowy butt to my crotch. Understand, that we were in a tight crowd, but there was enough room there to not have your butt perfectly aligned with someone else's crotch.
At first she just kept bumping into me, but so much that it seemed intentional, so the deviant thought of that got me excited, that and the fact that this was going on in public, yet nobody could tell because we were so knittly packed together. When she noticed that she'd gotten me excited, she stood directly in front of me, squared her hips against mine, and started to press her butt and back against me. Still trying to make myself certain that she was doing this on purpose I put my hands around her hips, as if I was hugging her. She didn't knock them away. Instead, as she was pressed against me, she began to firmly push her butt against my crotch, she would hold it there and then let go, and then she would do it again, and so I began to push back. This sort of dry humping went on for about thirty to forty minutes.
She took off, two songs into No Doubt's performance, towards the back of the crowd. I really wanted to follow after her, but I didn't want to lose my near front row spot that I had fought and waited for close to three hours to get. Though I looked for her after the show, I didn't see her again. Bummer. She was really pretty. Her hair smelled great.
I needed to write this down.

I'm going to see The National in two weeks, I think. We recently had tickets to go see Cold War Kids and forgot about it and completely missed it. That sucked.
We also have tickets to get see the NIN.JA tour at the beginning of June.
Coheed and Cambria are touring again. They'll be in Boston at the end of August; with Heaven & Hell?!
Wanted to see Muse again, but they're only touring with U2. Not paying that ticket price.
Hopefully Silversun Pickups go out again soon.
