To DMM, Fez did quit for like that week, the next week someone did it and he said 'what', Ron seemed to give up then since Fez just went back to his routine. I don't know if it really upsets Fez, it might just be something that sort of comforts him so at least he's playing the character and it brings him into the show if he's been out of it, even for 1 word.
