As a kid I remember the Toys R Us Toy Run ads would play and I would lose my mind. I am trying to find them online but no dice.
Does anyone else remember the annual shopping spree for kids?
I think it was like 10 mins and as much as you could fit in your basket.

Oooohh, I always wanted to do that SO bad. I remember I would strategize about what I would grab. Where would I start? Do I just pull stuff into the cart or go after specific items? So great.
Wasn't this also one of the prizes on a game show or something?

I hadn't thought about that in over a decade but yes the level of excitement I would get from those commercials was incredible. My friends and I would actually plan out our route in the local toy store as to where we would go: the baseball cards, the legos, radio control cars, playmobile, etc. etc. The worst part is we didn't even have a Toys 'R' Us anywhere near us, all we had was Kay Bee and Toys Unlimited.

HOLY CRAP Casey I can't believe there is another person in the world that remembers I'm Telling. I actually have a bunch of episodes of it taped on VHS from the Family Channel when it was on repeat in the late 90's. There was even one with Marissa and Giovanni Ribisi. The best episode, however, was the Christmas episode.

My parents used to set a time limit when we would go to toys r us when I was a kid because I was somewhat uncontrollable.

My brother and I would play every week. We would write down the others prizes and compare. If we won, we celebrated with teddy grahams.

We just made fun of the kids and how dumb they were answering the questions. And we made fun of Laurie Faso's glasses and bowtie.

I was a fat child so all I can compare this to is my wanting to be on Supermarket Sweep. I'd load up on the big cheese blocks for sure.

Im Telling was the best! I even liked the uber-nerd host who jammed on his keyboard in and out of commercials. He did do that right?

woo
man my toys r us never had filled shelves like the toy runs did. and those damn video game slips you had to take to the counter. always so sad when the guy would come from the back and say they were all out. "but...but i have the slip! ok i guess ill get muscle wrestling instead of final fantasy"

I strategized/fantasized about the toy run, but being the budding young entrepreneur that I was, I would always keep a mental inventory of the smallest most expensive items whenever I was in Toys R Us as to maximize my profit when I sold them later.
i love you because you have angelo and norwood in your sig.

Aw shucks. Yeah I do love me some Fishbone. It'll never be the same without Fish, Kendall and Dowd, though

Wow. I remember that show from back when I was probably watching way too much TV as a kid. But what I saw were the Family Channel reruns.
