Anyone else trying it? I'm posting on it right now. It seems slightly faster, I haven't done anything with it yet. About to go to Youtube.

I tried it for a while, but the lack of proper adblocking and not being able to delete individual things from the history. The increased speed was good, though.

Keep us posted. I thought about trying it, but never got around to it. Looks cool though and a friend of mine says it's less buggy than IE. He says Opera and Safari are better in a couple of ways but Chrome is building up steam. It's stable release was in Dec 2008? So I imagine it will only get better. If it's any consolation IE based it's IE8 on some of chromes designs, and security features.

Dumped it already. I didn't like the bookmark set up in the least. I use the home option a lot, and Chrome doesn't seem to have a button for it. Also, I use the search in the upper right hand corner of IE constantly so not having it was a deal breaker.

Posting from Firefox now. I've heard to much hype I went back to check it out.

Exactly the same reasons I don't use it. Chrome isn't horrible, but it's not worth a full time switch (yet).

I like Firefox already. And sorry if its because it's more like IE but that's why I like it. Similar interface, sorry. If you want a lot of people to jump from what the vast majority of people use to your new thing, make it like the old thing and offer better differences.

I see no real reason to use Firefox over IE though. I may just leave it installed though, I already dropped Chrome from my system.

The thing I liked right off the bat was it knew I had Flash player installed when I viewed a You Tube vid. Chrome made me go reinstall it for them instead of finding it on my system.

The front page that eventually fills up with thumbnails of places you just visited is novel, but that's why I have bookmarks.

That's why I manually set a homepage and added in a home page icon. It's alright to show those thumbnails when I open a blank tab, but I don't want it every time I start Chrome.

I briefly went through the options and didn't see a way to do it, so like most impatient folks I tapped out.

I did let them know the reasons I didn't keep their browser in the page that popped up, I hope the feedback makes them change it a little. I may go back if I hear good things about it in the future.

You can just type in your search terms in the address bar in Chrome.

Well I didn't know that. There wasn't a 'Get to know Chrome' page that popped up either so how was I to know? I found something I didn't like and got rid of it.

I used chrome but it was loading ronfez.net New Posts weird, so I had to stop (90% of internetting is sadly here for me) using it. It was amazingly fast, though. I still use it every once in a while for certain things.

Firefox used to be leaps and bounds better than IE, but then IE just started copying whatever was great about Firefox, so the margin has shrunk. I still use Firefox, though. I just love all the add-ons.

I have used Chrome since first beta, and that use is seldom.

It would take a lot to pull me away from FireFox which I have used since version 0.7 a couple years ago.

yeah the thing that got me is that firefox learned from that and now use it.

Someone already answered it, but Chrome lets you search through the URL bar. It's not as good as Firefox yet, but they're working on it. Right now I have the 1.0.154 version, but you can also download the "developer" version, which is 2.0 something. And google has a description of what you can and can't do here:

http://www.google.com/support/chrome/?hl=en-US

Here's a video, one of a bunch they have:

What is everyone talking about search with the address bar? You can do the same thing in firefox with any sort of search. I think my list of quick searches is over 30 now.

I just installed a windows virtual machine on my mac instead of putting FireFox on I decided to go with Chrome, so far so good I don't do much web browsing on the virtual machine.

I guess I was a bit hasty, but I think my initial response is common of most users. Stray too far from what I know and I'm not comfortable. Now that I know all these things about Chrome I am more interesed. They really should have explained what I was downloading a little more than they did. It was kinda "Here, you'll like this." Well I didn't and you didn't tell me why I should like it other than "It's FAST!" Well it's like a few milliseconds faster than IE, I'm not anyone important. That kind of time isn't a big deal.

I played with Chrome when it first came out. It wasn't bad but I haven't touched it since then since there's still no OSX version.

If they came out with a OSX version I would probably use that instead of FireFox I rarely use Safari for anything.

I switched to firefox last year its still the best although some add ons don't work properly the speed difference apposed to IE is very noticable. I tried chrome and safari they are quick but better the devil you know :devil2:

Is there anyone else using google chrome? When I look at new posts and go to the first new one, it doesn't line up right. I have to scroll up a bit.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is this a problem with this website or with chrome?

I use it periodically and have not noticed this problem. I wonder if anyone else has?

I've been using Chrome exclusively since September. I haven't had any issues with this site.
