I enjoy this band.

Total throwbacks in terms of shoegazer and early Smashing Pumpkins, but that's why I like them.

I checked their website on Monday to find out if anything new was planned, only to find out a new album was coming out on Tuesday.

Carnavas has been one of my favorite albums ever since I heard someone talking about the song Lazy Eye. Can't wait to see them live.

I thought the sound from their first to second album was much different (at least for them). New song sounds darker.

yah, see the root theme here is the same once again to me

very regiments winding music, similar high pitched vocals and just more production overall

do I like their sound, sure, but it's not like they are moving in another direction, much less forward in my op

you see darker too? can you extrapolate on that?

* Thanks for posting too. I saw them once opening for Snow Patrol with OK Go at MSG and they were pretty much what I expected. Good stuff, just nothing monumental.

Nothing to really extrapolate on; it just sounds darker to me on first listen. Lyrically, it's supposed to be about him growing up, so I feel like it may touch some deeper areas.

but I understand what you're saying. Their "sound" is definitely not changing. but I dig it.
