Man, I don't think those who weren't alive at the time can truly appreciate what a national sensation Fidrych became.
He was the wacky but lovable young superstar that became a household name almost overnight.
What a shame his career and life were cut so short.

What a shame his career and life were cut so short.
I remember how famous he was his rookie year. He was like the second coming of Bill "Spaceman" Lee.
