Good, cheap liquor?

My roommate is moving in about a month, and my rent is gonna be doubled.


I usually just drink Jameson and beer, but I think I gotta make a switch.
I have friends that still drink Early Times, or Evan Williams, and I can't do that shit. It tastes like cleaning fluid.
I don't drink clear liquor, so vodka's out.

Recommendations?

try seagrams seven or canadian club. they aren't the cheapest stuff out there but i really enjoy them.

If you like rum, try this. I get a liter for 9 bucks. It's made by Bacardi, but sells for much less. It's be best cheap stuff I've ever had.

Have you tried Powers Irish Whiskey? It's a little cheaper I think.

I know you said you don't like Vodka but for everyone's reference, Tito's Vodka is actually very good and cheap. Plus it is made in America and has never given me a hangover.

Drinking shots of Titos makes me think that I'm putting my nose up to an open bottle of rubbing alcohol. It's strong, but not bad though.

I really like Southern Comfort, I'm not sure what the bottle price is though.

But for me Leroux blackberry brandy is all I drink and it tastes great and is somehow cheaper than everything else.
A bottle of the fat man makes everything alright.

That is hilarious. That was the first stuff I ever drank. 14 or 15 years old I found it in the back of my parents' pantry. Of course at the time any 'liquor' tasted like straight gasoline to me.

You are right it does seem to have a more pungent odor than most vodkas. Must be that Texan fire water it is distilled with.
