OK, the rules here are simple: just rank your top 5 favorite OS's. That's all.
A few ground rules:
--Different versions (that is, major updates that you must buy separately) of Windows and Mac OS count as different OS's. So you can't just say "Windows" -- you would need to vote for XP, Vista, and 7 differently.
--Similarly, different builds of Linux count as different OS's. So you must differentiate between Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux, for example.
So here's my list:
1. Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
2. Ubuntu
3. Windows 7 (beta)
4. Windows Vista (home premium)
5. OpenSUSE Linux
What ya got?

Weird, I just noticed my version of XP on my desktop is actually Vista Ultimate. It also thinks it's a Dell for some odd reason. :devil2:

let's discuss desktop environments, free of other aps.
there's not desktop environment better than gnome and kde, people who list windows environments simply don't know better.
the os i would want not technical people to use is apples os 10, nothing easier.
now you throw in games and websites devoted to active x and shit, then you're stuck with windows, i have an xp partition on one of my comps simply for my blackberry and work stuff....it's awful.
