Wanted to straighten something out. Mr. B said today that ice cream cake does not have cake in it, thus it should be called cake shaped ice cream.
Baskin Robbin's ice cream cakes are actually a layer of cake and a layer of ice cream.
Carvel's is 100% ice cream, with that crunch stuff in the middle. Being from NY, we always had Carvel, and I didn't learn of this actually ice cream cake cake until I was in my thirties.
That will be all...

I'm not a fan of ice cream cake.
Now ice cream corn bread is something I could really wrap my head around.

No Carvel near me, I know nothing about them.
Ice cream cake should be all ice cream and not cake, c'mon.
I have made my own ice cream cake with my kids by cutting up blocks of ice cream and layering them together with drizzles of chocolate syrup and preserves between the layers.

Fuck Tom Carvel in his mouth. Fudgie the Whale/Santa & Cookie O'puss/Hug Me Bear are for mouth breathers, and soft serve is best for the incontinent.
BR cakes > Carvel. Grown up ice cream + chocolate crumbles + decent frosting. No brainer.

According to their website, my only options are going to Walmart or going to Arizona. I can't figure out which is worse.

carvel owns. carvel ice cream cakes all the way.
do not like cold cake & ice cream. that's just wrong. if ice cream is going to be on some sort of baked good it should be warm pie or a brownie.
& i'm really not a fan of cold stone. i've always found it to be way too sweet. there's just something so off about it to me.
we don't have carvel up here, but there are a ton of friendly's. i can get a carvel cake at the grocery store.

Everything about Baskin Robbins sucks. I can't even eat an ice cream cone from them. Carvel is good. I think the last ice cream cake I had was from Costco. I don't remember if it had cake in it, but it was good. I used to run a Freshen's frozen yogurt shop in the early 90's. Ours was a layer of cake, a layer of frozen yogurt, and topped with another layer of cake.
I've never had Baskin Robbins and never will. Carvel foreva!
