AMW is conducting a contest of sorts, to find the best first responder's story.
More info here. (http://www.amw.com/allstar/2009/)
Several stories of Police and Firefighters doing GOOD things.
I figured we could discuss our favorites or least favorites here, and use the link to vote.
I think you can vote every day if youre so inclined.
There's only one NYPD cop in the finals so far, and although she has a great story, I dunno if it's worthy of being THE greatest.

Hit the More link after the person's description. It will give you more details and then there is a button to vote.
And yes, I've voted. Not everyone hates the cops. Only a couple people here have a problem, but for the most part I'd bet that most of the board is pro-cop.

Just click on the guy or gal you wanna vote for, and their story pops up with 2 buttons, "vote" and "share".
But this thread was a hope that we could discuss these stories as vehemently as we discuss the bad ones. There's really some cool stories in there.
Reading the story now, but I think she's already in as a finalist. There's no Vote Button, just Share.

Yeah, I'm not asking you to vote for anyone in particular.
Just putting it out there that cops can do good stuff too.
And seeing if we're as interested in these stories as we are the bad ones.
It would appear that we arent.

If I vote can I get some PBA cards?

Some of them are kinda fucked up. We all like a "happy ending" on TV but the nominee this week is VERY fucked up after being shot, in the head I think.
Real life sucks.

oh hell yeah it is. we should have a thread for people that have had a positive experience with the police.

This board has proven unworthy.

I ran into Police Officer Susan Porcello at work yesterday.
I told her that I voted for her, and had asked you guys to consider doing the same.
She didnt win, but she says 'thanks' for the votes.

Can I vote for AMW itself? I want to salute that show and the brave people who work for it for picking up the slack for all the cops out there too busy running over babies and starting fires in churches and inventing time machines to bring Hitler to the present.

OK, seriously, look at you thread title...it has zero to do with cops.
Maybe people just don't give a shit about AMW.

Only reason it stays on the air is that it's incredibly cheap to produce.
