The other day they rattled off a bunch of Sean Penn movies I hadn't seen on the show. I don't remember most of them now. Which ones should I add to my NetFlix queue?

State of Grace is fantastic, Gary Oldman is awesome in it too.
I'd add The Assassination of Richard Nixon too.

Milk is his most complete role. Best work of his career.
Dead Man Walking is an awesome movie. State of Grace is really good to but I think it ends poorly. Fantastic in Sweet and Lowdown.
Mystic River is a great film and he's great in it too.

Everybody's YELLING and the music is DRAMATIC and the director is CLINT so let's give it all the Oscars OK bye.

I thought Mystic River was average at best. I saw everything coming and Lawrence Fishburn RUINED every scene he was in. MILK, SWEET AND LOW DOWN, FALCON AND THE SNOWMAN, DEAD MAN WALKING.

Agreed that the end of State of Grace is a clusterfuck, however there are some AWESOME scenes in the movie.
If I had to pick his best role I'd say Dead Man Walking, however he's fantastic in Milk too.

I always thought he was great in "At Close Range" he and Christopher Walkens played nicely off each other.

Dead Man Walking was Penn's best performance I think. Way better than Milk. Penn's performance in Milk would have lost the Oscar to Nic Cage in Leaving Las Vegas too. But Penn in Dead Man Walking would have beaten Penn in Milk if that were somehow possible.
