Divorce sucks

After 12 years of marriage, a friend of mine is getting a divorce. None of us really liked him-- he was a real obnoxious ass. I remember sitting in the church next to my friend John and we were both like, "NO! DON'T DO IT!" But as the years went by, we started to see him change. Yeah, he could still be a jerk but he became more responsible, went to school and got a degree, and really seemed to love being a husband and a dad. He seemed so proud of his family. Then this past October my friend and him went on vacation and met a woman. Now comes December, she moves to CT (where they live) and he leaves his wife and family to move in with her!

My friend is devastated. What's even more heartbreaking is they have 3 kids and she's left having to get them through it by herself! The littlest one (5) has temper tantrums and won't let her mom out of her sight. The 9 and 13 year old boys are both very withdrawn. Her husband is being a real asshole about it too: "They're kids! They're resilient! They'll get over it!"

Well, the chick he hooked up with is getting her THIRD divorce. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of years with them.

Well, he has proven to all of us that a leopard cannot change its spots. He was the obnoxious, trailer trash we always thought he was.

Don't sweat about the post being long. He is an asshole and sooner or later he'll have to pay a heavy price for the pain he's caused for his selfish, obnoixious demeanor.

I'm probably going to sound like an idiot to all of you. But what else is new? Anyway, the possibility of divorce comes with the choice of marriage. I personally would never get a divorce but I have to face the fact that my wife might (even though I'll never get married). She should look at the situation as if her husband died. What would she do then. Then she should move on from there. I'm young. I'm niave. But I'm opinionated. FEzzy says it best: "girls are stupid and ugly", and so are guys. Down with relationships. I think a really big problem is that now-a-days marriage is just as casual as dating. If one person wants out, they can leave without any considerartion for the other or any children involved. Ok twelve years is relatively a long time compared to some of these other marriages but it's relatively short compared to marriages in the past. I really have no solutions that everyone will agree with so I just have complaints.
