You may have your graphics card set to dual screen. Open up your graphics adapter program through the system tray and check the settings. It is real easy to reset it to single screen. If it is either ATI or Nvidia and do not know how to do this I can walk you through it.

Booster is right.
Right click the desktop, and click Display Properties. You can also find this in the Control Panel. Go under the Settings tab, and the you may see what appears to be two screens (one labeled 1 and the other 2). You may see an Extended Desktop option under either monitor 1 or 2. Disable it. You can switch between each monitor by clicking on the number above.

Yeah, that's a basic system setting. It sometimes happen if you had your computer on a second monitor or a projector, and forgot to turn it off.

Now, I think it's set to go to the other screen. Do it one more time or press F11.

I hit f11 and nothing happened. It's literally black, no mouse no nothing.
