I think Kevin Smith is a really compelling speaker. I always dug the relationship he had with his fans via the internet. He was really the first filmmaker to get that involved and make himself accessible online.

These are his thoughts on message boards which I thought would be appropriate for people to see here.

At this point I'd rather Smith stopped making films and just did speaking appearances. Those An Evening with Kevin Smith DVD's are fucking great.

I'm almost at the same point Mojo cuz I disliked Zach and Miri so much. But I want to see him direct something someone else has written.

But his 'Evening With' series is great. Almost 3 hours of talking and I never get uninterested.

Wow.

Another insecure, mentally unstable celebrity.

It's a never ending supply, it seems.

Now Kevin Smith is writing a script for Clerks 3 where Randall Graves learns to be a nice guy and Jay gets a job at the onestop. Growing up isnt gonna be good for Kevin Smith.

huge kevin smith fan but I think the evening with flicks are too long.

Let it be known that I have listened to the commentary tracks of the first 5 movies (including both Dogma tracks) multiple times. I also love his smodcast. i really like listening to him and scott mosier bullshit.

I just can't last more than an hour with an evening with.

I'm curious to see this video, I'll be leaving shortly and can't wait to see what he has to say. He's spoken at Rutgers and he's so down to earth and very assessible to his fans. He would actually sit and answer everyones questions.

Very true. Gvac is drowning in mental instability and insecurity and he's barely a message board personality.

What the hell is he wearing? His Obi Wan Kenobi outift?

At least he's finally learning not to take message boards seriously.

If I didn't have to put on real clothes and could be in a robe all day, I would do it.

Wait, I can do that.

He's right. He does win. I'd gladly take any internet hits for a life like his.

Very good interview with Kevin Smith about the disappointment of Zach and Miri, his next project and weeeeeed maaannn. (http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/05/kevin_smith_on_zack_and_miri.html)

He's also doing an Evening with at Carnegie Hall in June apparently. I may get tix.

I'm concerned that I agree with Gvac on this one. Kevin Smith is a borish, insecure, one-trick pony.
