I listened to both Ron & Fez and Opie & Anthony today and the callers were awful. Just really bad calls all the way around. Alot of hang ups, nonsensical calls and bad dumb lines. I felt like shit myself so I didn't even attempt one. Did anyone else notice this or will this thread end up on 4 response mountain?

One caller called in the middle of an animal fucking bit to complain about the call screener. One guy said shock and jock then when Ron tried to do the bit the caller missed his part. I can go on if you want more examples.

I haven't listened in a while but I had high hopes that the best of xm influx from Sirius would bring in some better callers based on more listeners = more chance of potentially better calls. It seems stern fans might be more non-smart than XM bigrig hicks.

i already voiced my opinion on the crappy spy reports today in the listenin thread,i'm afraid if i continue i'll just be called a cranky old man again, ichiban-lleeder is the best caller of this decade

one thing i noticed is someone called up saying "i have a,kinda small ichiban"
Ichiban means number1, there can't be any degrees of ichiban-ness! Its either the number one thing everyone is talking about or its something else

Okay, I remember those calls. Radio Shark also got hung up on. There have definitely been other shows where I think the callers were much worse.

Did anyone hear O&A? One of the callers that busted Opies balls about the marshmellow thing sounded like it was Brother Wease.

The O&A callers during the bowling bit were god-awful.
I missed a chunk of R&F today, but it is comforting to know they hung up on Doc Joe.

I haven't been a fan as long as some of you, but isn't the "spy report" and "ichiban" supposed to be for at least somewhat interesting news or shockers? I mean.....who cares about Bruce Willis and such? Are the good callers flocking to the chat of Paltalk instead?

I haven't heard Ron and Fez yet, but the O&A callers were terrible. I did love how after O&A asked what they were listening to on hold, a few went on humming a song and acting like they weren't paying attention.

i dont know how the ichiban got started but i do know that the spy report used to be inside stuff that didnt make the media,it was stupid fun stuff that i would call in about at disney world,i would call in with 6 reports,every tuesday morning.and there was alot of fun calls from people that worked at other theme parks in central florida would call in with.its now just what some ham n egger read on their yahoo page

The best is when these callers believe they're the first to report some uninteresting news from three days earlier.

To this day I have no idea what the meaning of spy reports and ichibans were intended to be. These things tend to Frankenstein of their own volition.

The best is when they try to barrel through the call as if they're in such a rush to get on the air. The callers on 202 are generally horrific.
