D&M were boasting at the begining of the show that there ratings were up to a 1.7 from a 1.5 in NY. then they made made a few jokes at the ratings being a 0.9 when ron and fez were on in their slot (never mentioned their names but you knew who they were talking about).

an hour and half later - no i didnt listen the whole time i just happened to get back in the car again at that point - so anyway an hour and a half later don realizes that he read the chart wrong and THEY have the 0.9. their attitudes changed a little bit after that. fuckin tools.

Hello all. This is my first post on this message board. I'm a DC listener and listen to R and F, tape delayed, from 11p to 3a. I think they have a great show. I didn't hear theses comments by D&M, but I listen to them every day, and have so for ten years. They always have good things to say about Ron and Fez and make reference to them frequently. It's obvious that many of you that wish bad things for Don and Mike are just upset that they took Ron and Fez's time slot. I guess that's understandable. You take one comment from one show and use that as your ammunition to criticize them. I would bet that most of you haven't listend to D and M for more than 20 minutes. They've been around for a long time and have millions of listeners across the country. It's not always easy to go to a new market and make a splash right away. I know their track record and I wouldn't count them out just yet in NYC. Look at O & A. They have absolutely no ratings here in DC. I bet if you give them a chance, many of you would like them.

i know don and mike like ron and fez. as i said they never said theyre names. they were commenting on how bad the ratings were before they took over. and how much better they are now -when they thought they had the 1.7

as for being upset about r+f moving to nights...I couldnt be happier. nights especially late nights have always been a better environment for them. better bits, more in studio guests and fans on the air, etc. more gooder.

as for d+m i have tried and tried. i'll even give credit to rob and buzz, but i just dont find d+m funny. theyre the type of djs o+a and r+f make fun of. morning zoo. and i know they are extremely popular all over theyre just not for me. and i know they have been doing it for 20 years etc. you would think after 20 years they know how to read the ratings sheet.

i listen to don and mike.most of the time it's when i am at work. so no, not faithfully every day but enough to have an opinion on them. they are definitely not like RF or OA. but i do find them humorous. they have a different style, a different humor. a lot of the time i don't find them funny, but they still entertain me. and of course they have that morning zoo flair, they're on in the morning. anyway, i guess i respect them because they have been in the business for so long and obviously have been doing something right.

i mean it's quite obvious everyone here enjoys RF or else they'd be over on don and mike's message board if you want to call it that.

oh yeah and i'm glad RF is on at night. if they were on earlier i never would have been able to go into the studio and stuff..so yeah nightime is more gooder.

Big B: I live in D.C. I was born here, raised here....I've been a D.C. resident all of my life. I've known of Don and Mike since my high school days (I just finished college), so I'm familiar with them....and I can truly say, I can't STAND them. I thought they were tools before, but after all of the crap they pulled around the time slot change (NOT just bumping R&F), I grew to utterly loathe them. If you're a fan of theirs, that's fine, *but* I just have to say that there are people who have listened to D&M before, who have given them a chance, and are less than enamored with them.

Forell - are you some sort of retard? First off, NEVER insult FBP. Secondly, Don and Mike WERE on in the mornings. They did a morning zoo show for years, but about 10 years or so ago, they moved to afternoons, and then to the middays. As for Ron and Fez, if you count the old Ron and Ron show (which featured Fez, and is what evolved into the R&F show), than you're wrong again, because Ron and Ron were on in the mornings. Don't be yelling at Frenchie about an error she supposedly made when it's YOU who have no clue as to what you're talking about.

It is an absolute truth that Don and Mike are big in DC. DC is, of course, a crime-ridden swamp where politicians reside, so I can understand that. The fact (not opinion, but fact) is Don and Mike are not funny. Even worse than not being funny, they are not interesting. I used to try and listen to them and turned them off out of boredom.

Someone earlier mentioned that R&F fans might be upset because D&M took their morning slot. Now, when I started listening, Ron and Fez were on overnights and Don and Mike were on after O&A. And I wanted Don and Mike off the air then. Wherever they put Ron and Fez I will follow. They work best at nights, but I don't really care where they are as long as they are on some time.

I will say that Rob is a genuinely funny person. But his talents are completely wasted on that show. I say, get rid of Don and Mike and make Rob a new Sports Guy.

Eighteen months (or is it seventeen now) can't come soon enough.

To date, only O/A and R/F are worth listening to. I actually tape the R/F show sometimes when I have hockey so I can listen to it later in the home office. D/M....Hell, they're in a league with Lick Ass. Even the fans of both shows are similar in that they seem like loser followers who kiss way too much ass. Listen to R/F and O/A, and you'll hear that both show's revel in their listeners and interact both directions. D/M use their listeners and who can identify with them in any way. Honestly, if D/M have such great ratings in D.C., then I would consider it an honor to be the antithesis in regards to the ratings and show design. D.C. is a hole as a whole, and it is a Mecca for assholes. If you want to hear about the boring life of Bart (what a geek), bowling, Mike's tiring Paxil rant, and Don repeating everything with their intros (so fucking annoying) move to DC bc there days up here should be numbered and those who backed them should be canned. I've checked out the show many times and they are flat out fucking boring. I agree that that Rob cat occasionally made me laugh, but Norton an Poo do it constantly. Remember how quick they ripped on O/A when they thought they were out of NY bc of them. Imagine if R/F made noise on their move. And realize who changed their time slot to fit in the NY market. It's time to recognize the talent of R/F now and try new teams in this market in place of D/M. D/M suck and will never work here. Sure it's fun to bowl, but to talk all day about it?

Be fair to us D.C. folks. We just haven't had a quality program like R&F or O&A, so when we do get it, we have no clue as to how to handle it (except for those wise ones, like myself, who have embraced both shows).

Seriously, the only reason Don and Mike are so big here in D.C. is because they've been here for almost 2 complete decades. After that amount of time, you're going to be able to build at least some sort of a following.

I like Rob; I think he can be very amusing. I dig Buzz too, but Buzz is just a guy who's happy to have his job with the show. As for Rob as a Sports Guy? I say fire all the current Sports Guys and bring in the Sports Junkies!

Cause I can tell you right now, I'd rather hear Eric Bickel talk about the latest porno he bought than Frogvoice Forell give out hockey scores.

I've lived in the D.C. area my entire life and until couple years ago would spend weekends in Queens... i have to use stupid analogies like the teapot calling the kettle black. About Don and Mike, the guy who drove me to school for 7 yrs listened to Don and Mike... yeah they relied on listeners stuck in their cars and work, but whether you like them or not, they did stuff on radio that not many ppl were doing then, hell they got fired for it. Im not even a DM fan, but I still laugh at stuff on their shows. Don Geronimo is a program director of WJFK. If he hated RF so much, why wouldn't he try to boot them on WJFK?
WNEW is a good station, but you talk like D.C. has no good radio. WJFK is Howard Stern, Don and Mike, Opie and Anthony, Sports Junkies, and Ron and Fez. Thats the best of WNEW with better sports. And i'm not just cutting on Scottie, I was a fan when he was on WJFK before he got fired.
Seemed that the D.C. ppl embraced all the new york radio when we got it. Why do you guys have to hate on D.C.?

I'll give you this, D/M sucks way more than DC. And your radio station's lineup IS much better. R/F put it best, WNEW will never put a show with a future vs. their sister station Krock? and the likes of Howard. If R/F did well vs. Howard in his home market, they risk losing so much money in advertisements, sindication contracts and who knows what other collateral funds. Sorry too 40oz, I've been there and really didn't like it many times over. I hit concerts there when I was in school a lot and yah it was cool, but it reminds me of Camden near Philly with the poverty, crime and bums. The few nice areas are for the extremely rich.
