It's been months since I've downloaded a youtube video. I was using Magic's Video Downloader add on for Firefox, and it was working fine. But now it doesn't do anything for some reason. I click to download, and I just get a blank screen. Does anyone have any good recommendations (preferable a simple firefox add on.

BTW... I just tried ANT, too. I think it worked but I can't find where it downloaded to. Plus, it's a toolbar. I don't want another damn toolbar.

But just unintsall Firefox and reinstall it. Hopefully that clears it up.

Do videos still load in Explorer windows?

It eliminates a bigger problem, reinstall Firefox or at least the add on that is fucking up. Did you look for an update to that add on?

I don't think there's a firefox problem. I think the add on is somehow messed up. I found several new add ons but they are still "experimental".

I am unfamiliar with Firefox. But you should be able to uninstall the one add on that is giving you a problem and reinstall it. Or something could have changed on You Tube and that add on isn't updated to it yet. That's probably unlikely but Ive seen it happen before especially if the add on is just some guy's project and nothing official from Firefox.

WOW! That one is great!!!! Thanks Fallon.:clap:

BTW... It's even better than the old one. With Magic, it downloaded as flv, and then I had to convert it to mp4. This one downloads it as mp4 with no conversion.

Fuck! It downloaded perfectly to my comp and plays fine. But when I move it to my Blackberry, I only get the sound. What's up with that? It's just a stupid Visa commercial!

could be the codec it saved as.

open the properties of your old files compared to the new.

also the reason the older program was not working could have been that Youttube updated there site so you could not do that.:wink:

There are no old files. I downloaded the add on that Fallon suggested last night. I then downloaded a video. It played on my comp. Then I put it on my Blackberry, and it only played sound.
