The pre-reviews are coming in and the consensus is this game is rehauled from 3, faster, inside fighting (no more invisible barrier) and they're sayin the graphics look 10x better (More polished and the fighters muscles now contract and contort as blows are thrown and landed) I didn't think they could improve that much on what felt like a perfect game. Could be the 1# sports game of the year even over Madden.
Oh and there's Tyson.... (actual gameplay - Click to watch it in HD to really appreciate it)

This is my MOST wanted title. I played the shit out of Fight Night Round 3. I am really looking forward to the inside fighting expansion, and what I hope is a much bigger 'Create-A-Fighter' career mode. I've seen the videos of it, and it is like a world tour.
Also, you will be able to add/subtract status points (punch power, stamina, etc) from certain categories for your character MID-ROUND. Pretty awesome.
Can't wait! ><

I hope they speed up the flow of boxing though, so that it doesn't move at 1 MPH. Also, I would like to see some occasional One-punch Kayos...makes it more realistic specially with Tyson around.

he swears he doesnt have it. He says they told him by mistake it was positive and if you test him now its clean.
On a serious game note, they just posted a new first look at IGN. Its pretty fuckin nasty. I cant wait to get into this career mode the way they describe it. Everything seems better.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, doesn't the "Triple Cocktail" basically make you clean and mask the infection? If anything, they should test him for the drugs in the that to see if he's telling the truth.

Frux Yeah, that was my biggest problem with the series. I've only knocked someone on their ass a couple times. They always send you through that hazy mode where the opponent duck and cover and get all his shit back.. or worse yet you catch one and you're now hazy. I don't mind the hazy mode but in real boxing 3/4 of all knockdowns are one punch or 2-3 combos... That hazy shit would be good as you're finishing an opponent but not a first round knockdown. I hope to hell they improve that.
I can see how they'd be able to improve the speed and graphics, the last one came out 3 years ago, when the 360 was still young, yet it still looks stellar.

I agree totally. I bought my 360 after playing this game, and it is still one of my favorites.
there were times when you knocked someones head off back to back to back, and then they are perfect at blocking and dodging in hazy mode. I hope that is tweaked.

its completely different now. read the first look. Punches go everywhere. Its easier to register a 1 punch knockout assuming you can land a perfectly square punch. Also they added a stunned mode where if you catch your opponent hard, he gets slow and whobbly for a short time. 60 frames per second and also there is now a blocking strength meter, so if you block too much, you start to get tired and not block as well

I just read the IGN preview, I forgot how many things annoyed me with 3, the training was redundant, now it's all in the ring, the career mode rivalries, they were awful, now they happen dynamically if any fight goes Gatti/Ward on you. Also I forgot how hard the blocking was having to block 4 ways now it's just up down and your timing will determine whether you can block left or right.. And they got rid of that arcadey one button haymaker and wrapped it into a parry combo.
They spent more time on the physics than graphics so I can only imagine how much more fun fighting will be. and you can finally get tangled up and lean on opponents.
I didn't even realize FN3 was only 30 frames. 60 is gonna be too real. It just sounds so great I forget Tyson is in it.

I really hope they made Ali as good as he was in real life this time. Every edition of this game that came out, Ali always sucked. Hell, he would lose to fighters in the Lightweight and Middleweight divisions in the previous games.
For someone who was nicknamed "The Greatest", they sure made him look like shit. Hopefully they fixed that this time around.

I like they've changed the stunned mode to the ringing of your ears sound with leaning on the opponent.
