Why would Ron not trust him? Honestly, Dave is a genuinely nice guy, who does what is asked of him. Yes, his drinking at times may be out of hand, but in the end, he knows what is right and wrong, and acts accordingly to what he believes is right and wrong - that is all we can ask of anyone.

Also, it depends on what you want to place in someone's trust. I can trust my friends with almost anything, but i can't trust them with, for example, cheating on a girlfriend. they may have it slip in passing. i think that is what Dave has done sometimes, let something slip, when he didnt mean to.

Ron doesn't need to trust Dave, he does just fine on his own. Think about it this way: Dave does some of the silliest shit you'll ever hear and Ron laughs at and with him. Dave needs Ron to the point that he has to be trustworthy. If Ron didn't trust Dave, we'd rarely hear him on the show.

If theres one thing I can confidently say about myself, its that Im an excellent judge of character.

Ive met Dave. Yea hes got flaws just like everyone else, but the one thing that is just completely obvious is that the guy is one of the most loyal people youll ever find. Hes probably loyal to a fault. You would have to be retarded to think that Ron wouldnt be able to trust him or couldnt count on him.

The fucking guy would probably turn down a contract for his own show until he got a blessing from Ron. You cant buy loyalty like that.
