Kenny Rodgers
Johnny Cash
Waylon Jennings
Dolly Parton
Trace Atkins
No Willie Nelson? No George Jones? No Merle Haggard?
This is insanity.
Of course I'm going with Waylon anyway, but still...

i left them off to skew the voting. Cash is all I need. Waylon was a hippie in cowboy boots.

And your point...?
And the greatest shame of all is that you left the King of Country off the list. Hank Williams.
The REAL Hank Williams. Not his awful son.
His grandson is pretty cool, though.

Hank was a hack compared to Cash.
I hope the ghosts of Hank, Waylon, and Johnny haunt you tonight.
And every night.

Country lives forever. We will always need someone to sing about pickup trucks.

I'm with you, Gvac. No Hank Williams? This poll is meaningless. no Guy Clarke, Merle Haggard, Townes Van Zandt, George Jones, but you put Kenny Rogers on the list? I'd just start over...

No shit!
Willie and a few others would have a good shot in this poll.
Kenny Rogers is a fucking joke and Trace Adkins, come on, putting him against clasics. This poll is the worst one today.

I love Johnny Cash but he is country in the way Gram Parsons is. don't get me wrong, they are two of my favorite musicians but I have heard country purists say that Cash only put out one real country album.

Wheres Faith Hill?
Listen...Stugots is a half-Guinea, half-Jew from Brooklyn. What the fuck does he know about country music?
His next poll will probably be "Best Rock Singer" and have Britney Spears and the Jonas Brothers on there.

Lefty Frizzell?
Ray Price?
George Strait?
The Carter Family?
Dwight Yoakam?
Buck Owens?
Rodney Crowell?
Patsy Cline?
Jimmy Rodgers?
Roger Miller?
Boo to this poll...
Stugots couldn't even spell Kenny Rogers correctly much less come up with good selections.
This poll stinks.

There is a good list. Nice to see this poll brought a couple of real country fans.

Yeah, I have no idea how Trace got lumped in there and Kenny can't compete either.
I agree with these other country lovers. I still voted for Cash though cuz I really love him.

I dislike country music but, I've always thought Dolly Parton was a gifted singer. She really does make it sound effortless.
And... she's an original. You almost never say "this chick sounds just like Dolly Parton."
(the only one that comes to mind is "I Hope You Dance" by Leanne Womack. She sounds a bit like Dolly.)
