i don't get the problem with the desktop application though

there are many XMRO desktop applications and none are made by Sirius XM

IMO I think these guys are pissed that apple wouldn't approve the iPhone app so they took all of their toys and went home.

Anyone know of any MAC desktop players ?

I think the problem was the iTunes link to purchase whatever was playing, which then gives them a small fee. XM Sirius probably has no problem with online players as long as nobody is profiting off them.

I didn't know that they got a cut from iTunes and amazon. So that makes since.

They could have just taken that feature out, that was a really good desktop player.

But not like I'm using XMRO anymore since they started charging today.

I think this is what happened (http://www.physorg.com/news156077485.html)

Its a reason why I hate apple, they try to keep everything in house like DRM, god I hate jobs.
