Does anyone know a place that can stitch a good looking number onto the back of a replica Yankee jersey? I bought a blank, and I just want to get a number WITH NO NAME.

Great game. We had a blast at the stadium.
High points:
This "gestapo security" that Abraham was talking about was non-existent. Everybody, from the Customer Service reps to the security guards were cool and knowledgeable.
The Garlic Fries. Jesus christ.
6 dollar beers. But I realized that two six dollar beers comprise the 10 dollar souvenir cup beers. Why? The calorie counts. It listed the 6 dollar beer at 100 calories, and the 10 dollar beer at 200 calories.
The hot dogs were delicious, the sodas were cold and bubbly, not syrupy.
Low points:
Really fucking expensive.
Brother Jimmy's BLOWS at the stadium. Not enjoyable.
There's no camera perch to get the perfect "stadium shot" like there was at the old place. If you want to set up for a wide shot of the stadium, you'll invariably be in someone's way.

yea, and on saturdays Fox owns exclusive rights to air the first game. so when you buy the MLB package and try to watch out of market games, you cant on saturdays until the 4pm game. all games will obviously air regionally, so youll get YES in the NY/NJ area but if youre out of market you cant see it because Fox has the exclusive rights. I learned this last season and it was devestating

No, they showed in on YES, Thompson was pointing to 3rd telling him to stop. No way u go there. Cervelli was gunna beat that out and it would be 1st 3rd 1 out.
Its a moot point because of Damon but that could have cost them the game.

well, the ballantine's reference would have been like 30 some odd years ago, if it ever took place.

i actually disagree but i only saw the replay. with garnders speed the only way they are throwing him out is with a fantastic play, which Mauer made. they got beat, but 7 or 8 times of out 10 they score there. you take that chance.

Yeah, Tex's hitting has absolutely nothing to do with one of the greatest hitters in baseball returning to the lineup to hit after him. It's due to a pep talk from Tino.

After sitting for 22 minutes... and then gave up another HR (5th already this year -- he gave up 4 TOTAL all of last year), which can't be good for his ego... or his ERA.
Absolutely no reason to run him out there in an 11-3 game. And God forbid he gets hurt in that situation? That's just a bonehead move on Joe's part.

I like Mayberry a lot. I saw him extensively when I went down to Spring Training this year and he raked, and absolutely crushed fastballs.
The problem is he could use more development, so I think it's unlikely he settles in to a bench/platoon role as of now. He most likely goes back to Triple-A after Sunday.
That said, the Phils designated Miguel Cairo for assignment, so they need a right-handed bat off the bench.
Still, I'd be surprised if this is any more than a brief call-up.
He has a great ceiling though if he can show he can hit off-speed stuff.

i read a pretty decent commentary this week from Sam Borden (i think thats his name) in the journal news blog which he defended the launching pad that is Yankee Stadium. after reading it i kinda agreed with him. even if it is a home run park, whats the big deal? nobody is hitting home runs at citi field, does that make it a better place? the yankees play at the park too, its just as much of an advantage to them as it is to other teams, perhaps more so to the yanks cause they have more potential big bats then most teams. so why all the complaining?

since you spend most of your time watching NL games, ill clue you in on why. the yankees simply dont hit pitchers they dont know. it doesnt matter who it is. instead of throwing hamels tomorrow the phils could call up some guy from AAA to start and he'd go head to head with sabathia. its an odd phenomenon.

Nothing makes me happier to see the Yanks suck a dick, bt this stadium is much like every other band box that is making the home run, the hall of fame and the sport a joke. Basically everyone hates guys for juicing to hit home runs, yet they are cool with the league moving walls in to 295 feet so these same guys have it easier to hit homers. For someone who has been as injury prone as Hughes I'd rather not have him stretch himself past 100 pitches to complete a 11-0 game.

I totally understand what you're saying, but I really wanted to see him complete it.

umm there have been 87Hrs hit in Yankee stadium this year...
So Yes i do...
There have been a lot of well hit balls that didn't go out, too. I was calling you out on exaggerating so much.
By your rationale, every well hit ball goes out in every stadium, b/c a well hit ball is defined by being a home run.

i'd rather not see him or joba throw 8 spectacular innings, id rather they just rotted away in the bullpen and threw maybe like 3 innings a week each.

Ahhhhh, poor poor yankee fans. I feel your pain, really I do.
So win 9 in a row and all is fine huh? Still not in first and it's amazing how yank fans can't take an ounce of heat from announcers that have licked their asses for the last two fucking decades. Oh and congrats on the recovery in that fucking awful bandbox. Who would think 200 million plus would keep a team in a 182 game race?! HA!
retard, the other teams were hitting in the same stadium, too. how come the small stadium gets the credit for yankee HR's and no credit for visiting team HR's?
I bet you love Obama.
I totally understand what you're saying, but I really wanted to see him complete it.
I wish he could have completed it too. Once he throws 200 innings in one season, even if its 200 innings in the majors and minors combined, then I'd be comfortable with him stretching himself to get a complete game.
Until then I just hope he can pitch games like this consistently outside of Texas.
I bet you love Obama.
What does that have to do with anything he said you mayonnaise lover?

Obama hates and taxes rich people, and Spoon hates the rich Yankees and wants a cap. You clearly are not getting it, silly goose.

In fairness, is MLB giving a portion of the proceeds from the hat sales to military charities?

In a surprise they are donating proceeds to various shady Muslim "charities." I think that's ill advised personally.

Broken bat home runs. That something you dont see every day. Your new stadium makes Wrigley look like the Polo Grounds.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday. I'm excited for that, plus we have great seats so as long as the rain holds off it should be a perfect night to watch baseball!

this is kinda weird/interesting.
I used my credit card once at the New Stadium, paid for everything else in cash. For some reason, the charge I had at the stadium showed up as "pending" and then vanished. It's been over a week later, charge still hasn't shown up.
Also, when I was at the stadium, I paid in cash for a bunch of stuff. The person taking more order saw my reaction to the total and then knocked six bucks off.
