I'm a big fan of some of the more eccentric music out there, one of the cool things about that is that you can often meet other people who can turn you on to a whole wealth of neat bands. The thing that sucks about it is once they run out of bands you have to wander around trying to find other neat stuff.
So give me your weird music, and not weird for weirds sake, it has to be good. Style can be anything, but I skew towards metal.
In return, here's my latest find:

Have you heard UK Ukulele Orchestra? They do a decent "Satellite of Love" and an amazing "Life on Mars."

Speaking of Constatinople - The Residents have a pretty big catalog of weird stuff (may be weird for the sake of weird, but Les Claypool's a big fan so I defer to him.)

Anamanaguchi's Dawn Metropolis (http://www.dawnmetropolis.com/).
They make all their music from a hacked NES.

Im actualy really into the Residents. They did an album of traditional Eskimo folk music. I havent heard it but i want to. Start out with their "Best Of" CD Petting Zoo.

Negativland. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negativland)
It's about as weird as you can get, and some very funny shit. Though I must admit, when I listened to them, it was in my LSD days.
This is the only one I still have. The LP came with a bright yellow "car bomb" bumper sticker. The stickers often caused problems when attached to bicycles that were locked up to public light posts.

I don't think the Swans are weird but they are definitely different. Here they are:

The Residents actually did something like "the U2 Incident" described. They had Casey Kasem, and other relevant stars of the day, dressed in Nazi attire sitting aound a camp fire, and they took samples of popular music of the time and warped it and added their own tunes. It was some kind of statement about the music industry i suppose.

An old tripping buddy of mine said I was the only person on Earth that could fall asleep on LSD while listening to Swans.

I saw some people dressed as the Residents back in the late 80's walking the streets on Halloween at VCU in Richmond, VA. I'm still not convinced it wasn't really them.

No one really knows who they are. There was a rumor that they were the Beatles in disguise, but they have never done any interviews or any press. They're an interesting band if you read up on them.

It just lulls you to sleep like a little baby. So you actually did it PB?
