Is his home page confirmation enough? http://www.abcrn.com/harvey/
For some odd reason, I kinda liked his hokey little segments.

The Radio Hall of Fame broadcaster's "love of his life" and wife of of 68 years, Angel, died of leukemia on May 3, 2008. He is survived by one son, Paul Jr. and three grandchildren. By all accounts the family was very close to the patriarch Harvey and Paul Jr. even worked as a contributor on his broadcasts. They will no doubt find a fitting memorial tribute for this fallen radio legend. And what more fitting send-off than the Batesville Casket Company's "Serenity" 20 gauge steel casket? This casket is painted a delicate blue with silver shading. It is primarily a masculine looking casket. This casket can also be made with a gasket for a small additional charge. Its panels are polished to a mirror finish. This casket is an excellent value. It is beautiful yet very inexpensive. It comes with an adjustable bed. The casket comes with bright silver handles to match the silver shading and goes along well with the delicate blue main color. Many other colors are available upon request. The interior is usually a full shirr crepe. The center panel is a ray or sunburst pattern with a lovely rosette at the base of the ray. Note that many other options of fabric, color, or styles are available. Basteville Casket: Serving families for over 100 years.

I know it's already been said, but, GOOOOD DAY!
Is Bernard Meltzer still alive? "Get yourself an attorney." (I think me and Heckler are the only ones who remember Bernard Meltzer on WOR.

I remember when Elvis died, Harvey finally admitted that Rock & Roll wasn't a fad. Took him long enough.
When I was a little kid, some friends and I took a tour of a local radio station. I wanted to see where Paul Harvey broadcast from. The took me to a room and showed me some big machine and told me he come in through that. I was so disappointed.

I loved Paul Harvey! It was obvious that he was on borrowed time, though. If you do a combined < 4 hours of radio a week (with commercials!), and take as many vacations as he did, it can't be a good sign. RIP Paul

Someone updated his Wikipedia page to state that the cause of death was a viagra overdose. That's since been taken down and editing of his page has been locked.

They've been playing classic Paul Harvey bits on AFN, but I'm not sure what you guys are hearing in the States. Today they played his coverage of the JFK assassination. Really great to hear him apply his vivid descriptions to something so historic.
