A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING
TO 6 PM EST MONDAY.
AFTER A LULL IN THE PRECIPITATION THIS AFTERNOON...A STEADIER SNOW
WILL OVERSPREAD THE REGION FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST THIS EVENING.

THE SOUTH FORK OF LONG ISLAND...TO 10 TO 14 INCHES IN BETWEEN...
WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. WHILE SOME SNOW SHOWERS ARE
POSSIBLE MONDAY NIGHT...ESPECIALLY OVER CONNECTICUT AND LONG
ISLAND...LITTLE OR NO ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED FROM
THESE.
SUSTAINED NORTH WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO OCCASIONALLY
35 MPH WILL RESULT IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH VISIBILITIES
OF LESS THAN A QUARTER OF A MILE AT TIMES.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

BASED ON THE LATEST FORECAST TRACK OF THE STORM, IT APPEARS AS THOUGH 8 TO 14 INCHES OF SNOW WILL FALL IN THE PENNSYLVANIA COUNTIES OF CHESTER, MONTGOMERY, BUCKS, DELAWARE AND PHILADELPHIA. THE SAME AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED FOR THE NEW JERSEY COUNTIES OF MORRIS, HUNTERDON, SOMERSET, MIDDLESEX, MERCER, MONMOUTH, OCEAN, BURLINGTON, CAMDEN AND GLOUCESTER. SLIGHTLY LOWER AMOUNTS ARE ANTICIPATED ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST, HOWEVER, EVEN THERE TOTALS SHOULD RANGE FROM 6 TO 12 INCHES.

Fortunately, the garage is clean so I can park Liz's car in there and my truck will be off the street.

I didn't make brownies because my sister-in-law made them already when we were over her house for the NASCAR race.

They were fudgy (which I'm not a big fan of... I prefer a more cakey-fudgy consistency, thin with some sort of icing on top. They were made by ghiradelli.

I'm more of a Betty Crocker guy. I usually don't put other things into my brownies, I'm more of a purist. Icing, chips, etc. doesn't do it for me.

The perfect brownie is slightly warm, with vanilla ice cream, and some fresh strawberries, paired with a cold glass of 1 percent milk.

The Harp was OUTSTANDING though. I forgot how good it is.

I took this about 11:30pm Sunday night before I started brushing the snow off the cars.

This is a westbound view of Tilton Road, and even though it has been plowed it looks like it has barely been touched by the county.
Coastal Evacuation Route my ass!

Anyway, the hoods of my work car and my wife's minivan had about 4 inches on them, and the side windows and doors had about 2 inches clinging to them. I'd get one vehicle done to where you can see through the glass, and the other one would be already covered with a layer of snow. The only thing we can do now is get up early and start the cars up and run the defrosters while we're getting ready for work. It's gonna be fun!

I just shovelled the house out. Its quite deep, but light and powdery. The driveway apron was the worst! I know more is coming, but I need to get to work. I wore sweat pants and a fleece lined nylon jacket and I had a t shirt underneath. It is soaked with sweat. Be careful out there!

So far we've gotten 10 inches of snow, with a lovely ice topping, here. 8's car got completely plowed in, so he's staying put. I, on the other hand, have to be at the office by 10.

Fujifilm USA is closed! Snow day for me!

Unfortunately, my Mom wasn't called out for work, so she had to get up and go...
The good news is, I got to try out my new snowboard pants and they worked quite well out there in the blisteringly cold winds of Central Jersey for the 15 minutes I was clearing the steps, the walkways, the driveway and my car.

Poor Mom.

I shall be in my underwear all day now. I love snow.

I was actually thinking about doing that because my neighbor has MS, but as I'm the new guy in the neighborhood, I didn't want to overstep my boundaries.

She (the neighbor) actually cleared her driveway herself... so who knows.

we got about 4 inches or so early this morning and i went out at 6:30 and shoveled, salted, and cleaned off my car.

we were SUPPOSED to get an additional 4 inches but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. maybe another inch or so. but right now it's sunny out and nothing is falling.

i am a little disappointed, to be perfectly honest!
