ok, you ever go to a site that has a "red band" trailer and they need your info to prove you are over 18?

If I don't put my exact birthday and the zipcode of my parents town they won't let me review the restricted trailers

how do they know this? what info are they going off of? I find it pretty intrusive, no?

Where are you viewing these trailers? I just went to 3 different places and viewed a red band trailer fine. One had an age check but never asked for a zip code

Maybe the site you are viewing them, you signed up w/ an account before and have that info cause you put it in yourself?

Ok, that's weird, I figured out what Gaz is talking about. I went to http://www.beowulfmovie.com/restricted/index.html

Yeah, asks your name, zip code and birthday, I actually entered my real shit and said I was still restricted. I googled and can't find any answers to how they verify this information.

i have had it before, but i just got it for the "I love you man" redband trailer on AICN

http://www.iloveyouman.com/restricted/index.php

and i have to put in my correct info..not like the early days on the internet where you just click "yes im over 18" to see titties

big brother is watching, and making sure kids don't see r rated trailers

btw, why did beowolfe have a restricted trailer? wasn't it pg13?

Guess they even check if you're really 13 or over? I tried researching but found nothing. I'm assuming the MPAA has a deal w/ the gov to have access to every single person living in the states name, birthplace and birthday? Pretty scary

yeah cuz the whole point of the MPAA is that its not a government organization...the MPAA was created by the movie industry so the government would not step in and have input on the material in movies (so its not illegal for a 7 year old to see an NC-17 movie). I'm scared

The I love you, man site wouldn't let me in, and I tried a few things, including using some real info.

There's no check mark to agree to that.
