I don't see why it's such a problem. I was here before it started, and have always posted all over the place (ok, maybe mainly in the entertainment area). I don't go in there as much anymore, but that's mainly because for awhile it seemed like I was breaking up an inside conversation. But that's no reason to lock a thread.
