Fast Food All-Stars

Following through on Fez's thought from a coupla days ago (wish Ron had let him carry it through more...), I thought about this a bit and thought it would make a fun thread. There's already a "best burger" thread, so that part will be a litle redundant, but whatever.

Try to make a single choice for each category. Don't wimp out with ties and "second favorites" and all that nonsense. Feel free to add categories. And we're talking chains here, not one or two location mom & pops.


Hamburger: McDonalds Quarter Pounder w/ cheese. A classic!
Hot Dog: Nathan's. Nuff said.
Fries: Nathan's. Thick, crinkle-cut, Very tasty!
Fried Chicken: Popeye's. KFC may have 11 herbs, but I'll take the Cajun spices.
Chicken Sandwich: Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I order it with cheese.
Chicken Nugget/Strip: KFC's Chicken Strips. Best chicken of the bunch, and better spices.
Taco: Taco Bell- the Meximelt. Add some sour cream for a ridiculously tasty treat.
Fish: Long John Silver's. Beats out Arthur Treacher's.
Shakes: McDonald's chocolate (unless I can count a Frosty as a shake...)
Dessert: McDonald's Apple Pie. Another classic.
Coffee: Burger King. There's almost a sweetness to it, w/o adding sugar. Destroys the cardboard-flavored McDonald's stuff...
Donut: Krispy Kreme Raspberry filled

Wild Card: White Castle's Fish Nibblers. I don't know why, but I love these things! Light years better than their awful fried clams.

Burger: Although I love White Castle and last time I was in California, In-N-Out burgers were amazing, I'm going with the Jack In The Box Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger.
Hot Dog: Sabrett
Chicken On The Bone: KFC wins, but Bojangles gets an honorable mention (with a side of Dirty Rice).
Boneless Chicken: Long John Silver's
Fish: Long John Silver's.
Shakes: McDonald's Shamrock Shake.
Pizza: ALL of the pizza chains are shit. I feel bad for anyone who lives somewhere where one of those places is the best around. But I'm digressing. The closest thing to a chain that has great pizza is Januzzi's in Northeast PA with 5-10 locations. Try the white pizza.
Dessert: Dairy Queen Blizzard. (the OLD McDonald's deep fried apple & cherry pies of 20 years ago were great)

Hamburger-A simple McDonalds hamburger with sufficient ketchup & a coke. Take your time & savor all the ingredients working together. Its even better to eat 2!

Hot Dog-has anyone ever had a Chicago Dog???? Much superior to an east coast dog!!! Any hot dog stand in Chicago will do. Even Milwaukee has several good ones. Comes with fries.

Taco-Taco Johns, the potato Ole & taco deal is just the best!! Puts Taco Bell to shame.

Fries-McDonalds

Soup- A bowl of bean with a Super George at 2am at George Webb in Milwaukee!

Fried Chicken- original leg & thigh from KFC

Fish-no opinion but is Arthur Treachers still in business?

I don't think you guys in the States have Harvey's, but their burgers are great. They grill them right in front of you when you order, and then all the condiments and veggies are sitting right there, so you tell them exactly what you want on it.

Hamburger: Wendy's Bacon classic (they don't even make it anymore)
Hot Dog: hmmm..who cares? ill just say nathans
Fries: Penn Station,its an "east coast sub" franchise we have here. famous fries...just like the real penn station!
Fried Chicken: Lee's fried chicken...a chain we have up here, like KFC but with better ingredients (Lee is actually Colonel Sanders cousin)
Chicken Sandwich: Burgerking Tenderstrip sandwich
Chicken Nugget/Strip: hmmm..dont really eat that stuff
Taco: Taco Bell's grilled stuffed beef burrito
Fish: don't eat fast food fish
Shakes: M&M frosty
Dessert: burger king has some good pies
Coffee: 7-11 count? hmmm..fast food coffee, i dunno..they all stink
Donut: something custard filled

I know that the boys dicounted Five Guys as a chain, but there are plenty aroung the country and they kill McDonald's or any other drive through restaraunt. Steak and Shake has a damn good Frisco Melt also.
