I'm kickin' it with the mega cable modem. I've had it for almost 2 years now, and I can't imagine not having it. Heck, I get better performance at home than at work.

Who has joined me in the 21st century, and who is still posting with gerbil-powered dial-up?

Cable Broadband is not offered in my area. Checking the map of service, the colored portion bends right around my town and the surrounding few miles. I'm checking into DSL, however it keeps slipping my mind as more important things take precedence.

Then you sit at home to d-i-a-l-u-p and get your email and want to slap yourself....

I was on a dial up forever which kept me away from this site because of the sig pics taking forever to load.
I was also on a crappy computer but finally got a P3 1000 MHZ, 256 Ram with a cable modem. It's 100 times better.
I do have a great computer at work but they monitor the sites we go on to :(

i cant imagine going back to dial up. i went to DSL when i moved to long island city. cable modem is even better but its not available in LIC yet. when i move to the village next month the first thing i'm turning on is my cable modem.

I had a T3 at school. I came home to a dial up. That lasted for a few months, but then Cablevision started to offer the cable modem. I sgned up the first day. It took them a month to hook me up. But I will never look back. We have DSL at work, but my home service blows it away.

I have a cable modem and can't go back to 56k.

I was also at my sisters on Sunday setting up her new PC and using 56k on AOL and it took forever to download shit.

Im crying as i read this!! I I have dial-up, and ya know what I DONT EVEN HAVE CABLE TV! I have ch. 4,5,7,9,11,13,and 21!!Dear god I hate my parents! They are too old and dont believe in paying for tv. And they say that no one is ever home to watch it, um hello there I'm ALWAYS home. I have no life. And my mom told me she doesnt want to get me anything other than a dial-up cause she could stand it if I was on-line and she had to listen to the phone ring! But when I'm online and she bitches at me cause she missed a phone call, then i just say Simple answer to that one GET ME FREGGIN CABLE!!!
Someone please help me and get me cable,and while your at it a new place to live might be nice too.
