My father was in the city a few years ago and called me at home to tell me he got the autograph of "someone famous". I got all excited and imagined it to be Axl Rose or someone cool. He came home with a napkin that said "Dear Lisa... Best wishes, Mark Linn Baker." He got me Cousin Larry Appleton's autograph! How fucking disappointing. I think I still have it somewhere. If I'm lucky, I might be able to take it to the local bodega and trade it for a 40 of Silver Thunder or something. Thanks, Dad.

That's about as bad as my grandfather introducing me to one of the Mills Brothers when I was 12 like I was supposed to be so impressed that I should just freak out.
For fuck's sake the guy was like 70 something and was big in the 30's and 40's.

What's more embarrasing was that during that same week, I got to meet Skip Stevenson from Real People and I was actually really excited.
