What are some shows you keep watching even though you hate them?

It could be the show used to be good but it sucks now and you just can't give up on it.

It could be that the show is sandwiched between two shows that you like and you are too lazy to change the channel

It could be that nothing is ever on opposite it and its on at a "sit down and relax" time

or it could just be that you are a masochist who wants to subject themselves to shit

I have a lot of shows like this. The one on my brain is "big love". I just think its boring as shit, its a gimmick that got tired 2nd episode and nothing interesting ever happens...just people doing stuff. Yet, cuz im so used to watching whatever is on HBO sundays at 9 i end up watching it every week

yea, you pretty much catered the title of this thread to Entourage. It was the first thing that popped into my head when I read it.

One Tree Hill. I started watching it with the ex, and have kept with it. They pack every episode with so much nonsensical, unrealistic drama I can't stop laughing. If you watch it as a parody, it's brilliant.

Law and order with vincent d'onofrio...or any of those cop shows that always end when someone breaks down during a long drawn out monologue that leaves them feeling as if all they can do is confess.

atleast you are getting some kinda enjoyment out of it even if you think the show sucks. But i'm talking about shows that don't seem to have any entertainment value to me..ironically or otherwise..yet i watched them

Heres another one for me, "At The Movies". I used to DVR "Ebert & Roper at the movies" but then Ebert never came back and Roper was fired so they put two new guys in there. The two new guys suck but my DVR still records the show and i watch it every week cuz its there. Actually, one of the guys isn't that bad..from Turner Classic Movies, but the other guy is from E! and he looks like Casey Affleck and he always talks about the hollywood gossip side to the movies (like, would people be able to see Tom Cruise in THIS role cuz hes a star???)..hes just awful

I just realized this show was still on tonight. It is the first time we've watched the Simpsons in a few years and I was confused.

Bad Girls Club. I DVR it and sit down and watch it every freaking week. It makes me angry and annoyed and yet it somehow boosts my self-esteem that I'm not crazy or a slut like those maniacs.

It used to be wrestling. I would still tune in to every show (that's 6+ hours a week) and be bored by at least 85% of it, but I would continue to watch anyway. Now I rarely bother to tune in at all. I haven't watched TNA in probably close to a year now.

I cannot think of one, I guess Nascar but that is pretty much by default as it is the only thing on Sunday's this time of year and I have been watching since I was a kid. Not really a program though.

Entourage

That's another one I didn't get. I bought the first season, and got rid of it before watching the whole thing.

As far as all of the nonesense that goes on at Vh1, I will watch it, if there is nothing better on. I hate these shows, but I will watch them. Buy I also don't have my TV hooked up; I can watch TV at work.

I watched the "Entourage" marathon on HBO new years eve & enjoyed it. Perhaps watching 7 eps in a row made for a more entertaining experience?

The Office. First three seasons were hilarious. After that, it was mildly amusing. This season has been downright bad. But I keep recording it and watching it because its only half an hour, and it's still better than 99% of other shows.

LOST frustrates me beyond all hope.
I gave up on it once, and I regretted it. Netflix to the rescue.

I just stopped watching AGAIN a week or two ago. I've finally accepted the fact that the show just isn't for me.

Basically, the entire Thursday night NBC lineup (outside of 30 Rock). I used to like My Name Is Earl and The Office, and they both are so-so now. In between is Kath & Kim, which is terrible but I watch because Selma Blair is so sexy.

to tell you the truth, on the thursday nights, "The Office" is the only thing that is completely unwatchable at this point. I am either on my computer or change the channel. Its just so obviously limping and it really seemed to run-its-course. but maybe im wrong..other people like it, but when its on i understand where the jokes are but im just not laughing

I still think "My Name is Earl" is ok...not great but its pleasant. "Kath & Kim" doesn't make me laugh but its way more watchable to me than "The Office". I think its cuz "Kath & Kim" is just what it is, but "The Office" has so many intricacies that drive me nuts that i can't watch it anymore

John From Cincinnati. It pissed me off, and it seemed to me to be a total carny act of a show, trying to fake profundity with obscurity.

But if it was back this season, I'd watch every damn episode too.

Las Vegas There's nothing entertaining about it. I watch it, and yet I couldn't tell you character names or plot summary. Poor acting and poor writing.

I can't even call it crap, because I have too much respect for the word "crap" to apply it to this drivel.

One is on now: Sportscenter. I think pretty much every anchor on it is a douche, esepcially the horrible Chris Berman and the noxious Stuart Scott. But I watch, even if they're on.

It was cancelled.
Watching one ep was enough for me.
"Lucky Louie", I tried, really did. watched quite a few but it just didn't click for me.
Jimmy Norton was such a disturbing character. I like him on O&A too.
"Office" same thing. Just didn't work for me.

Agreed on The Office. The first 2 seasons were brilliant, but now it's just screaming, over the top shit, and the Jim & Pam relationship stuff just makes my skin crawl.

And yet I still watch.

Personally, I do not see a significant difference between the Office in the first two seasons and now. I'm not saying people have to like it, but watching the repeats, outside of the first couple episodes, it seems remarkably consistent to me.

I find it interesting how it sounds like so many people seem to want Jim and Pam's relationship to fail or go through the usual sitcom drama.

I haven't watched Lost yet, but the guys at work talk about it all the time. The story line for it sounds beyond retarded. It sounds like the first season was really cool as they were survivors on an island, but the whole "we're in another dimension/island of the dead" gimmick sounds pretty dumb and it sounds like they're just trying to create plot holes so they can fill it later.

Saturday Night Live, yet I still record it. Although I admit I fast-forward through most of it (you can tell within 30 seconds where a skit is going).

I finally stopped watching The Office this season.

So I'll jump on the bandwagon with everyone else and say Entourage.

I loathe the show...I'm pretty sure I just watch so I can complain how much I hate it at this point.
