I love watching documentaries on the various animals that we share this planet with, and I'm always awestruck at the sheer beauty of the tiger. I have been since I was a small child, and to this day if I'm flicking around and see a special on them I have to watch.

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c34/Gvac/Tiger.jpg

There are plenty of other beasts that fascinate me, but none can touch tigers when it comes to their elegance and eye pleasing attractiveness.

What do you think is the most gorgeous creature besides humans?

It's far too much of a pain in the ass to dredge up my ancient dusty photobucket account (let alone remember the login info) so I'll just say Orcas. I've seen 'em in person (not at Seaworld) and they're just the most incredible majestic creatures to look at.

Though tigers are my personal favorites. G beat me to that.

Just this morning I saw two bald eagles, and they stopped me in my tracks.

Kind of along the same lines as a tiger, their look exudes confident elegance, but you could see the savagery just underneath the surface.

Sea turtles and pretty much any kind of whale. I've swam with sea turtles and I've seen Humback Whales from a distance in Hawaii, but I still want desperately to go on an up close whale encounter.

Dolphins...we used to have a pod that went by twice a day when I worked at the shore..
we used to go out and try to swim with them...but they usually just swam away...but there was one time that one swam around me really close for like a minute checking me out..it stopped and I was looking at it eye to eye for a second or two, then it swam away when I reached out to touch it.

I don't know about most beauiful but there's a herd of elk on the road between my house and our family farm in North Central Arkansas. They were re-introduced to the area several years ago and spen a lot of time in pastures along the edges of the Buffalo River. It was amazing this morning to see at least 50 of them grazing this morning.

Some of my favorites have already been mentioned so I'm gonna being up the blue heron. I'm lucky enough to live right on a lake and inlet which a bunch of them live. I get to see them a few times every summer. I never seem to have my camera with me so hopefully I can get a few pics this summer.

well the joke did not work out as it was meant, being that gvac and macvitty probably look for younger chicks rather than cougars (as in their case they would have to be pretty old to qualify)

Those things top out at around 35 pounds. I can't consider it a "big cat." Plus, it's pretty much just a small leopard.
