I have been overseas for a few weeks and I'm listening to best of and it sounds like earl is gone. What happened?

He quit the regular show so (in his mind) he could work on the Sunday interviews only.
He quit to the SiriusXM bosses, then he kept showing up to work on the Sunday show.
They had to take his building pass away...

I genuinely hope so. Maybe I just liked the nostalgic side of the 202 family rescuing a fellow WNEW refugee, but he was good to have around. Even when he was getting torn to shreds, I liked listening to his hapless demeanor bounce off Ron's bravado. So what if he was a sea urchin who flowed with the tide and couldn't make decisions?
