I don't listen to F.M. radio anymore, theres nothing new on. So where do RF.netter's go to find new artists and bands? Also who would you recommend? Genre does not matter i'm eclectic.

This music blog, if I see an interesting write up, I will download the CD and check it out.

I have founds many new groups from there.

In terms of new things I have just recently been listening to, The Fleet Foxes, this girl called Emmy The Great and Josh Ritter.

Check out Paulisdead's music thread. As per the other music thread that got posted today, check out The Hold Steady they're quite good.

Phishhead turned me on to metacritic.com, which aggregates new music reviews kind of like rotten tomatoes does for movies.

I had a thread like this awhile back. And I remember Spoon commenting that CMJ (College Music Journal) was useful. It is like the trade magazine for college radio.

Have to say satellite. I hear a lot of stuff I never heard before and some of it I like, some I do not. I also hear songs that I never heard before from bands I like. Just spin the dial and you might hear something new and different. Also hear some great songs I have not heard in years.

Bronx Johnny you rule..get back on the show....miss sextravaganza

Pitchforkmedia.com and brooklynvegan.com are great for indie rock.

Pitchfork has gotten so horrible lately that I cant even bother reading them anymore.

I also give credit to Phishy Whatevers.

But not Snoogan's picks.

The Napster "you might also like" thing is really great to find other bands that play the kinda' stuff you might like even if you've never heard of them. I've been lister to FM the past couple months because I'm too lazy to put XM in my winter car and I've heard a few bands I like.

This is the intro I see. DVR VH1 Classic 120 Minutes. When you see something you like pause at start/end of song for info to get that music.
