My niceness balances out my evil side so much of the time I walk through life only thinking of what I really want to blurt out loud.

Nah. I'm good.
Though, I've noticed that when I say a nice thing to a girl they don't take it the same as when a guy who's an asshole says it.
Apparently, not only wanting to have sex and really meaning nice things and being a good guy is looked down upon.
But that's not what I'm really getting at. I'm just a nice guy who legitimately wants to do good things for people and who doesn't expect anything in return.

Apparently that's not true, or else you wouldn't have started a thread stating that you were too nice.
This means you think you're niceness is above and beyond what it should be. Why? Because you're not getting anything in return for all of this niceness?

Ya know, you're right. I guess I do expect something. Not much though.
And I guess I'm more pissed than anything. Pissed because my compliments are less than some assholes. Just because I'm always a good guy.

So it is a girl thing then.

Attaboy, Keithy!
Of all the traits a man can have in this world, I value honesty above all others.
And if a woman values the opinion of "some asshole" over yours, she's not the woman for you.
I'm not trying to oversimplify the situation, but it really is as cut and dry as that.

It's a general person thing, with a girl being used an example.
You're working and your boss is always an ass. There's another boss and he's always a good guy. You do work and the asshole boss gives you a compliment. You're going to take that compliment to heart more so thent he ones the other boss gives you.

So good nice guy = boring.
asshole guy = exciting
You could use your nice guy thing to your advantage. It's one thing to be nice to girls. But you've got to flirt with them at the same time so that they know your interested in them and persuade them onto you. Maybe you're not coming off confident enough.

I don't know why you feel that way. I could care less what the asshole boss thinks cuz he's an asshole. I would take to heart a compliment from a boss I respected.

Not by definition.
Altruism.
noun
1. the principle or practice of unselfish concern for or devotion to the welfare of others

No, he said he was "to nice".
There's a big difference.
And Keithy, as a "nice" guy, you can't learn to be a dick/jerk/asshole. It doesn't work. Just keep being nice and eventually some chick will suck your dick and let you fuck her for a while. Then she'll rip your heart out, ruin your life, and you'll end up jerking off daily to internet porn with no connection to the outside world and crying yourself to sleep at night wondering where your life went wrong and missing the days when you had enough emotional feeling to even think that you were "nice". You'll also be passed up for promotions, ignored by most everyone you encounter, overlooked for kickball, and end up standing alone in the corner for most of your life. Mark Twain once said, "Be good and you will be lonely". I think he meant to say nice.

She'll think she does and you'll believe her and you'll love her very much and then slowly she will pull away and begin to feel unworthy of your admiration because in her mind she does not deserve to be treated so well and then she will throw it all away for a 30 year old high school dropout gas station clerk that lives in the same bedroom he grew up in and you will curl up in the fetal position crying until your mind hits its breaking point and you have an existential breakdown and your world will never be innocent again.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. You don't get points in the world for being "nice"...it doesn't get you anywhere on its own by itself, and if you keep expecting it to, you will be INCREDIBLY disappointed.
I went through the same thing myself, but I got over it because I stopped taking myself so seriously.
I started doing my thing and not worrying about other peoples perceptions of me, and guess what? I found out that I was okay on my own, and I wasn't "too nice" and stopped bitching about "why are women only attracted to douchebags" because those are both things that constantly tripped me up. If you truly KNOW what you want, you will realize that girls who think youre "too nice" or who aren't attracted to you aren't really worth pursuing at all, and you will eventually find a girl who thinks youre the bees knees. Those expressions are just cop outs for your own personal shortcomings in regards to confidence...you figure "i'm so awesome I can't figure out why these girls don't want me" which makes you the complete OPPOSITE of a "nice guy".
It just takes time bro...stop trying to move so quickly.

Bingo. This "I'm too nice" is bullshit that NO ONE cares about. It's on the bottom of our list of worries.
I've learned to be a jerk slightly. But in a fun way. Not in a jackass way, but in a playful, flirty way.
No MAN says "playful, flirty way". Eeesch.

Yep.
Your problem is you pine too much for a girlfriend. If you drop that sad story, you'll start living your life and some chick will notice that and like you for it. It probably won't happen until you're 30 when girls that age drop the assholes and look for stability.
So. In the meantime. FUCKING PARTY.
And if you start feeling emo again, go back and re-read the advice I've given you numerous times in your numerous threads. I'm not gonna tell you anymore.

Best advice ever!!!
Seriously Keithy, what are you 19, 20, 21 tops? You're young and you're a male. Don't go trying to force yourself to fall in love just because you think it feels good. If it's meant to be, things will happen when they happen, relax. I don't know where you are in life now, guys tend to mature slower than girls, so in 5-10 years your priorities might change and the girl you think is perfect now, might not be when you're 30.
Take Furtherman's advice. Chill out, focus on yourself, date/have sex if you feel so inclined, but given your well documented sensitivites, don't become emotionally attached to these girls unless you know for sure. Have fun, drink, but not alone.
What drives you to let girls seemingly step all over you? Are you afraid of being alone? I know that's a big fear for many. I can't truly relate to that. I honestly am not afraid of ever being alone regardless of any relationship status. It's a big world Keithy, with alot of people so you're never going to be alone if you don't want to be.

Just stop giving a shit. I used to feel the same way you did, bro. When i was much younger (before I joined here) I wasn't the cynical and heartless gentleman I am today. I was a sincere, loving and understanding "nice guy" and everyone I knew (friends and acquaintances alike) realized those traits to take advantage of me and emotionally hurt me. So it became natural to become a nasty and cold human being, that way may leave you very lonely and miserable so I advise you to not take that route. What I think may help you is to not give a shit, be honest with yourself and others and if anyone has the slightest problem with that, SCRAPE 'EM OFF and don't look back.
