Anyone ever heard of this before? I'm not surprised that this didn't catch on. Cd's were just about becoming mainstream at that point.

I guess Sony did a similar vertical model (which I don't remember either) with a linear tracking tonearm.

From what I can see online audiophiles find the Audio Technica models superior, not at all surprisingly.
