So we are just 3 days away from SuperBowl XLIII Pittsburgh Steelers vs Arizona Cardinals.

Kickoff is Sunday at 6:28pm on NBC. Steelers are 7 point favorites and the over/under is at 46.5. With media day passed, here are the 10 biggest story lines to discuss on the days leading up to the game.

1. How much of an advantage do the Cardinals have being that head coach Ken Whisenhunt was the offensive coordinator of the Steelers for 3 seasons? He knows every player across the field and what they run.

2. How hurt is Hines Ward right knee? This is one of the most physical receivers in the modern NFL. Can the Steelers overcome if he isn't effective blocking downfield?

3. Can anyone in the world stop Larry Fitzgerald? Even the #1 pass defense in the NFL will have a hard time keeping him from making plays.

4. Will Big Ben have a passer rating over 40 this time around and more importantly win his 2nd ring in his first 5 years? He completed just 9 passes in SuperBowl XL while throwing 2 picks. He did convert a couple big 3rd downs and ran for a touchdown but was marred by the lowest QB rating for a SB winning quarterback. Cardinals best bet would be to let Ben try to beat you with his arm, keeping him in the pocket and not letting him create.

5. Will Kurt Warner win his 2nd ring, putting a capper on one of the most fairy tale stories in NFL history? The grocery store bagger turned NFL MVP was cute the first time around and now he's the 2nd QB to lead two different teams to a SuperBowl. He's in the HOF for that but this would make him a first ballot lock.

6. Can both team avoid this years Barrett Robbins or Eugene Robinson? Tampa is the strip club capital of the US with 43 in the area. They even had extra strippers flown in for the business boom. Will any player get caught in the trap?

7. Will any of the Anquan Boldin/Todd Haley sideline incident carry over to the game? Hard to think so but I wouldn't have thought it could happen in the NFC Championship game so you never know.

8. Who will be the Steelers x-factor? I'd say Santonio Holmes. He started to return kicks much better late in the season (broke one against the Chargers) and showed big play ability with the 65 yard td against the Ravens. Big Ben will look his way a ton if Hines is hurt.

9. Who will be the Cardinals x-factor? I'll go with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. He's been a force since being inserted into the starting lineup in this, his rookie season. He played man against Steve Smith in the divisional playoff, gave up just one completion to Smith. They like to use him in blitz packages also and the Steelers line has been suspect at times. He could be as big a factor defensively as Troy Polamolu is for the Steelers.

10. Will the Steelers get one for the other thumb, cementing themselves as the greatest franchise in the SuperBowl era? Or can the Cardinals complete the miracle run of arguably the NFL's most putrid franchise?


I'm a giant Roethlisberger fan so I'll be rooting for him to have a great game and I'd like to see the Steelers win. I just hope I have a reason to still be watching in the 4th quarter.

they can still win without him blocking, but he needs to at least be in the game as a decoy

no, but if you double team him you still got boldin and breaston, so i'd keep eyes on him but try not to let him dominate

yes he'll have a better passer rating, its looking like he'll get that 2nd ring, 2008 ben is a lot better and more experienced than the 2005 version, plus the 05 version was told just not to fuck things up

ultimately i think pitts defense is better than zonas offense, so no 2nd ring for warner

no, from all accounts all it was about was boldin wanted to be in the game helping the team get down the field on a game winning drive, i'll take that kind of player and emotion on my team anyday ( and yes K.O. i know i dont own any team)
