iPod question

I just got an iPod nano and I never had anything like this before. I went to iTunes and downloaded it as well as bought some songs and a few movies. Everythings working fine, but I do notice that the movies I am watching are not in letter box format, and it pisses me off. Is there a setting somewhere that enables the movies to be seen in their full aspect? I hate seeing a scene and not seeing stuff going on on the far sides of the picture. It is in full ratio when I see it on my computer screen though. Maybe I am missing something because I never had this kind of thing before?

Are you watching them on the Nano's screen or on a tv playing off of the Nano?

If you are watching on the Nano screen I think you have to turn it sideways to get the widescreen format, if you are watching on a tv I'll have to do some digging to see if there is a setting.

I don't think its possible, and if it were you do realize it would make the image dramatically smaller right?

Watching full screen video on a nano for me would be pushing it.
