interesting little discussion on the show today, what day starts the week, sunday or monday? sunday is what shows up starting the week on most calenders, and that's about it. monday is the start of the work week (and it's called the week-end, not week-start) and leads off on the monday's child poem.
what say you?
Most European calendars start the week on Monday, and it makes total sense. Most cell phones and PDAs give you the option of starting the week on Sunday or Monday, and although I've tried adapting to it I can't get used to it. After being so used to our way, I automatically think of the day all the way on the left as Sunday, even if it has an "M" over it.

Sunday. That's how it is on the calendar, and "work week" is irrelevant to a lot of people.

Well my "work week" is Tues - Sat. so on my BB and in my Outlook I have Monday as the first day of the week. Monday is my Sunday.

Always hated Sunday - but a no brainer as to why. Visitation and church. Like 5 days of school wasn't enough.
But it does indeed start the week and suck.
A poll might be the most serious thing on .net

Monday..early american workers used to go to church and party on sundays..as it was their only day off.
The term "Blue Monday" Refers to being hung over on Monday..work usually started around 10:00 am-11:00 Am....At least that is what they told me on a field trip to Sturbridge Village as a kid.

exactly....the work week (for me M-F) is its own collection of days and likewise with the weekend so why split them up
I've got my crackleberry and ms outlook both set to show monday as the first day of the week

Gotta be Monday..no guy in the 80's would have ever jacked off to a woman singing "Psycho Sunday".
Manic Monday, just nutso enough to drive a guy nuts...besides..Sunday is an "I don't have to run day'..cause that's her "fun" day.. And we all know what "let's go make some noise" means.
