I really can't stand this move. In movies and tv shows it is terrible but at least if it is somewhat in place in tv dramas or movies, it is not out of place.
However, while watching CNN today, the story was about the Illinois governor. When it came back to the anchor, he immediately did the cliche glasses removal with some stupid ass comment.
Am I alone with this? If not, what other shows and or movies can we think of that had these stupid moves or have you seen this move somewhere it was completely out of place??

as a glasses wearer, i never take them off
unless im thinking hard, then ill nibble on one earpeice

I wear glasses too. I can't take them off. If I did, I wouldn't be able to see more than a foot in front of my face. So, I have no idea what it's like.

That's all good and well Mr. Not Cumia. But, this thread is specifically to bash that particular cliche.
I was fully aware of that thread. I've even posted in it. Now, I would appreciate you adding to this conversation instead of pushing your own agenda.

I don't wear glasses, but I carry a pair around just so I can remove them dramatically.
