Liver on its own? I've tried to like it, quite a few times since my dad would make liver and onions for himself all the time when I was growing up, but I could never finish it. Ech.

Made a great kebob with beef livers marinated in citrus, garlic and red pepper.

My mother used to put liver in her pierogies, which made me reluctant to try them anywhere else because it had a very dry, almost moldy kind of a flavor to it and a weird, moldy texture that I didn't enjoy. It was around that time that I stopped liking liverwurst. (Pity, too, because liverwurst is good eats.)

When I was in high school, one of my friends told me that liver doesn't have any business being in pierogies in the first place, so, thankfully, that saved pierogies for me, but I still don't like liver.
