Probably a retro St. Paddy's day promo. The Cincinnati Reds have worn green caps in Spring training on St. Pat's day for YEARS, and lots of other clubs do something similar.

Maybe there was a time in Laker history where they wore green on March 17th.

Or else it's someone who couldn't pick a side back in the 80's and decided to like the Lakers AND the Celtics.
