Last night I got an IM from someone not on my buddy list. I didn't think too much of it, because people do pull my IM address from this site and IM me me with site questions. Anyway, i wasn't thinking, and someone sent me what appeared to be a youtube link. I clicked on it and it went to a page that looked like youtube, but it said that I didn't have the necessary flash installed to play the video and the bar at the top of the browser indicated that I needed to install something. I was immediately suspicious and closed the window and went back to the IM. holding my cursor over the youtube link, I saw that the link was actually included watch.vid.stalkerspace.info as part of the address. I did a search online for info on this, but didn't find anything out.
Overnight, I received 2 more IMS from this person, both asking if their cam was working, with a link that appeared to go to an AIM webcam, but holding the cursor over the links, the watch.vid.stalkerspace.info was included in the link.
Does anyone know what this is?

It's a virus...
Yep, i got it from cody too. It is a virus. Look at the bloody URL- it is supposed to be AIM.com, but is nowhere close.
How it works, is you click it, go to the website to watch their "webcam", but the website tells you your Adobe Flash Player requires an update. You click the "download" button and save it to your computer, and once you run it, it infects your AIM. It secretly sends that same IM to all of the people on your buddy list, and you have no idea it is happening. If you have even clicked the link, i recommend visiting the following websites and following their directions-

http://www.lavasoft.com/?domain=lava...port/download/ (http://www.lavasoft.com/?domain=lavasoftusa.com/support/download/)

Thanks. It looks like I'm fine. I'm glad I got suspicious.

If you get this, you should download Antivirus 2009 to get rid of it.
