Hoodie hoods have got to be the most ridiculous vestigial part of a grown man's wardrobe. I'm sure they are great if you are 16, or a gangsta - otherwise it just makes you look like some crazy nut job / Unibomber type.

It looks a hell of a lot better than a plain old sweatshirt, and it feels great to wear. This is a staple part of the lazy day at home wardrobe, I know I'm younger than nearly everyone who posts here but a hoodie is a great thing for at home, but should never be worn out in public.

I wear my hood at my desk because I freeze at home during the winter. If you're going out wear a hat, style your hair, or fresh shave the head.

The length of the sleeves are key to a good hooded sweatshirt. Too long and they slide over your hands, to short and you look like an asshole.

It's not a hoodie, but my lined fleece jacket that I recently bought has a hood. It's only been so cold that I had to wear it, once. It bugs the shit out of me when I'm driving. It bunches up behind my neck, and it's almost impossible to get comfortable.

Hooded sweatshirts are fine. They keep your neck warm, and are great when layered under a coat with no hood. Great if you don't want to mess up your hair, but want to stay warm.

hooded sweatshirts are my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. i'm not comfortable when i'm without one. they are the best sweatshirts & have the best look. plain sweatshirts without a hood just make you look like a dork. especially when paired with tapered jeans & white leather new balance sneakers.

I see young men whose ancestors came from Africa wearing a version of these but the hoods are very deep. I know it is an intentional style but it looks dangerous.
