Has anyone used any software that they recommend? I would also like for it to convert to mp4 or wmv for my zune. I am willing to pay for software....

Handbrake, whenever asking for software you should let us know what os you're using.

And why exactly you have a zune and a ipod.

I've always used CucuSoft...Ultimate DVD Converter or something. It works well for me

I use this (http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/) to convert movies for my Ipod Touch and haven't had any problems. It's free and easy to use.

i used it to convert any and all video to my ipod and it works great. you can do DVD too.
