I'm watching Casino again for like the hundredth time, and I'm reminded of his films like this and Goodfellas and the guy somehow always makes the awful fashion and home furnishings and hairstyles etc. look fucking awesome on film. How does he do it?

For some reason, it's not just him. I hated the 70's styles, but just about every movie I see that takes place in the 70's has the hottest women. I love any movie that has a night club theme with women in 70's clothes. I just don't get it.

He's not hiding anything. He's showing the styles of those decades for what they were. Music included (maybe without the disco). What could it be. I don't know.
