My outsider status is a positive here.I can be a little more objective with most "friend" listeners with favorites.I ghostwrote for Stern in the 1990's as an outsider there. I have a very rough sketch to get the ball rolling for the immediate and neccessary restructuring of the Ron/Fez show playing on each individual's strengths and involving NO FIRINGS.In fact my plan calls for ENLARGING the pie and cross training. If I get a few, even a few positive responses I'll make this thread stretch on for those with better ideas to step forward. I'm moving first from the familiar to the more risky.First step is to model some aspects of the show from friends Opie and Anthony show for support during transition(next 3 months for Sirius/XM) and as done in the past utilizing ,borrowing and cross-promoting. That's not so hard a pill to swallow from the outset to open my suggestions to serious attention. Who else has positive suggestions? My request is that NOBODY gets FIRED(so take that shit elsewhere). And keep it mostly positive, not a complaint-fest. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a221/jlehane3/thFezzyweek15.jpg We all care about the show. What are the POSITIVES we can accentuate?:innocent::smoke:

Not to throw cold water on your good intentions, but I like the Ron & Fez show just how it is. O&A has a different vibe and I see trouble trying to cross train the two. (Sam/ESD Special Delivery exception though, but its an entity apart from both shows)
As for a positive suggestion, how bout RF replay before friggin midnight ! Some of us gotta work AND sleep.

Ronnie needs Fez's Xanax script(I know, I know), Fez nedds to talk more or not at all(he really was fantastic until he blew the last bit), ESD should be sprinkled in for support - sans any shit or shoving things in his ass, Earl stays out of any room with a mic, Mooch takes 3rd mic. Let's see how this plays out and adjust accordingly.

This is probably the best solution or the virus channel.....i dont need to hear the tired, recylced routines from OnA 6 times a day.....give them 3-6, RnF 6-9, etc.....

I dont know if I agree with those sentiments entirely. I am 50% there, yet I find his posts amusing as all hell.

this is where i'm thankful for my inno; i ran cable for an xm antenna in my office to a window but still miss 1/2 (or better) of the show, so the replay is invaluable to me. it would be cooler to listen to closer-to-real-time though...
(plus, listening via the inno to replay is a bit easier too; the pad data artist is always 'ron & fez' so i can listen via artist search and skip all the commercials automagically..)

That's not always true.
With my Inno, sometimes the show segment will retain the pad data of the prior commerical. It happens irregularly, so I don't know what causes it. But, if you're simply deleting anything not marked "Ron & Fez", you may be throwing away valuable actual show.

it's a lot more accurate when i record the show midnight replay; the pad data is a lot more faithful to the recorded content. the show segments, odd stingers promoting the show (and even some of the live reads) all show up 'ron & fez' and don't bleed into/intermix the commercials nearly as much (the stingers usually have a commercial or two riding.. but its a lot better than all of them).
