Beetles found in food coloring.
Carmine is literally made from dried, ground-up red beetles, and its coloring (bright red) is used in yogurt, juice drinks, candies, and a long list of other products, including many "natural" products.
There was an article on this in Newsday. Is it a problem for you? Someone put back a yogurt today cause they heard about this. (http://www.naturalnews.com/002043.html)

I knew there had to be a reason I didn't like red food coloring.

Doesn't bother me unless I find a whole beetle. Then, I don't think I'd care for it too much.

Not really, but I think if people knew what some of the "natural ingredients" consisted of, they'd be begging for some good ol' artificial flavors and colors.

The beetles as food coloring has been going on for quite some time. I can see certain types of vegetarians, Hindus, and Jains having issue with this. It doesn't bother me, and I don't eat that much food with food coloring in it anyway.

I thought the beatles were a rock and roll band. Now, I find out that Lenon was murdered so his blood could become food coloring. I find this, well... oddly delicious.
