Wanna make a cartoon?

Well, I was sitting here today, wasting time, watching some Kenshin and trying to figure out my next project now that my schoolwork is done for good. And I started thinking how cool it would be to make a cartoon, but I lack necessary skillz. So I figured I'd take out here and see if anyone else would be interested in doing it with me.

The concept is a fully online collaboration (i.e. we all work seperately and communicate over the 'net, or phone if need be) between writers, artists, voices, etc. to create and establish new animated characters (read: we won't be sued for using anyone's likeness) to amuse ourselves and the world. Even if you want to help out and have no discernable skills you can still be a voice in our lil toon!

So what do y'all think?

Happy New Year, JustJon! I am very interested in the idea. Particularly, Superheroes...By the way, I am a cartoonist.( The last "real" thing I did was a year ago- Images for Jane Eyre,The Musical..Part of a team, of course, and I was brought on at the last minute because I can draw. hey guys, I just wanteed to let you know that I'm letting this thread sit for a few days so people have a chance to respond to it before I go ahead, but I'm glad there are others who'd like to join in.

Like I said, anyone who wants to be a part of it, we'll find a way to make you apart of it, even if you think you have no discernable skills.

And let Impact's reply be an example of what not to do. I'm fairly serious (it's a cartoon, so we don't ever want to get too serious) about this project. Feel free to joke around, but also give us some idea of what you want to bring to the project.

Fine, if its a serious cartoon, i would like to see some sort of dark, evil story not some sort of superheros vs supervillains thing.

It should have some serious tones mixed in with some dark ficticious tales or phenomenon.

I like how we're making a cartoon with no one on the "visual" aspect of it.

While not the greatest artist in the world, I am fairly decent with Flash animation, and I have the software readily available thanks to certain gold shoe wearing individuals.

I am, however, lazy. So I could contribute somewhat on the visual aspects...or, of course, the story elements...provided it involves Space Ninjas and the appearance of a hippo with a jetpack.

Or, I could just give someone with talent the necessary tools (::cough cough::) and a bit of technical knowhow.

I can draw and i can write.
Me and Pooter had a cartoon in progress called Pinellis Park, a spin off of South Park using Ron and Fez characters. We had 2 episodes but Pooter got lazy a quit before he even finished the opening credits. I blame Pooter for EVERYTHING!. I still have the Ron intro....thats some funny shit, if anyone wants it email me and i'll send it to you.
